== Strategies== Speeders are great at using agility to employ strategies that no other ship can use. There are a number of these different strategies that can be used... ==== Supportive Role==== A supportive Speeder doesn't focus on dealing damage - rather, it focuses on helping teammates deal damage. These Speeders can support their team by using its yellow slots for a variety of purposes. They can equip speed-boosting items to enable them to distract enemy fire by darting back and forth at the front line. Or, they can equip debuffing items to slow down or stun enemies. Supportive Speeders generally equip mid to long range weapons, and Turbos or Bandages to help them survive. Unfortunately, however, supportive-class speeders are vulnerable to sneakerfire. (This means damage dealt from an enemy ship behind them.) ====Aggressive Role==== Aggressive Speeders use close-range weapons such as Carronades or Grenade Launchers to quickly approach and damage specific targets. Its yellow items are usually focused on helping themselves accomplish their goal - these would include speed-boosting items, as well as Tesla Bolt and Tesla Shield. During combat, these Speeders employ hit-and-run tactics against vulnerable targets such as Fixers. Or, if a single enemy ship were to be separated or otherwise isolated from their team, the Speeder would quickly approach and eliminate them. This isn't always effective though. Any ship far from a Speeder can easily annihilate the Speeder itself without that player realizing. ====Miner==== Mines can be commonly found on Speeder loadouts. These Speeders focus solely on laying mines around enemy positions, denying access to certain areas or making maneuvering very difficult. They almost exclusively equip speed-boosting items in other slots. Unfortunately, an unlucky miner Speeder can run into other mining Speeders, meaning that ship can easily get blown up. Overview: Like the Fixer, the Speeder has limited combat power, even at MK7. However, who cares? The role of the Speeder is to deal out damage, like a Shooter, but then it drives back to safety to hide from those nasty little war machines out there. Speeders are team ships, meaning if you're alone, you're DEAD. Try to use your speed to get away from Shooters (The threat to Speeders as well as Fixers.), Defenders, and sometimes even fast-moving and high HP Enforcers. The one thing you never want to do is scout ahead and wedge into a fight without your team nearby. The Speeder has low HP, so it will only take some heavy-damage shots to get yourself from full health to zero. Don't stand a fight longer that you need to. Enemy teams will try to take advantage of you and use you as a target, and if your items are on cooldown, GET AWAY from the fight. It'll make life much easier for you. Strategies and slots/slot points: Slots/slot points: Read Slots and slot points. MK1: A good fit for this is usually any one-slot point weapon, but as of version 2.6, you are able to equip a two-slot point weapon. Good choices are Cannons, Blast Cannons, Mines (not recommended), as well as Triple Torpedoes. For yellow items, Overboost and Nitro are good choices. MK2: Around this time, the Speeder starts to take a turn in its yellow items. Play around with your yellow items. For red items, a double cannon strategy works. (Snipers and Blast Cannons are the best) MK3: No change, but the increase of blue slot points from 1 to 2 makes the Speeder a much easier ship to play around with. MK4: At this time, the Speeder starts to take a turn in its defensive and offensive positions. The boost in defensiveness from one blue slot to two makes a Speeder a strong support machine. The double shield keeps you alive, but shield-Turbo or shield-Bandage works as well. At the same time, the increase of red slot points from 2 to 3 really makes the Speeder more offensively versatile. Railguns, Explosive Cannons, Big Bertas, Missile Launchers, and Triple Torpedoes work well around this time.
