Description Launches a massive incendiary bomb that detonates on impact, setting enemies on fire.

Fire Bomb is an area incendiary weapon that sets targets on fire on hit, targets on fire will take damage every second for the duration of the burn time. Compared to similar incendiary items like the Flare Gun, the Fire Bomb has a longer cooldown and a longer burn duration, the Fire Bomb is also an area damage weapon instead.

The Fire Bomb fires similar to mortars; after a small travel time the projectile will ignite all unfriendly ships in the given area, duration is subjected to how close the ship is to the centre of the projectile's radius.

Before the 4.0 update, it received a majority of its talents from Brock's talent tree.

Strategies[edit | edit source]

Unlike the Flare Gun, the Fire Bomb is capable of being used for straight damage rather than setting enemy ships on fire to boost cannon damage, therefore it is advised to use fire duration perks to increase damage. The fire duration perks aren't really necessary to the damage of the weapon as targets already burn for more than the reload time of the weapon.

The Fire Bomb follows basic mortar strategies, but be aware that it has a slightly lower arc height than most mortars so some trick shots are impossible.
